Why I Started Blogging as a Nurse and Educator
Blogging isn’t just about posting thoughts online. It’s a strategic way to establish your authority, share your expertise, and build a community that values what you know. As a nurse who has weathered more storms than I can count, I’ve learned that our experiences aren’t meant to be hidden — they’re meant to be shared.
I’ve completed four levels of nursing and earned my bachelor’s, master’s, MSN, MBA, MPH, and a doctorate in Education with a focus on curriculum and instruction. My virtual space is designed for student nurses, new graduates, experienced nurses, and educators who want real conversations, practical guidance, and motivation. Knowledge — it’s meant to share and strengthen the profession.
Who I Write For
My content is for:
Student nurses
New graduates
Experienced nurses
Clinical faculty
Nurse educators
Anyone exploring nursing as a career
Supporters, fans, and even the critics
If you’re part of the nursing community in any capacity, there’s a place for you here.
Why My Voice Matters
My writing reflects who I am — unapologetic, direct, and grounded in real experience. Surviving cancer gave me the courage to stop caring about the noise and start walking fully in my purpose. It also pushed me to differentiate myself and my business in a bold, authentic way.
There is plenty of room in the blogging world for all of us. Sharing our stories helps us document our journeys and leave a blueprint for those coming behind us.
How This Blog Serves You
This blog creates a bridge between my brand and my audience. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, a long-time supporter, a fellow nurse, a student, an educator, or someone thinking about entering the profession, my goal is simple:
To educate
To inspire
To motivate
To elevate the nursing community
The Purpose Behind Every Post
I blog to build credibility as a nurse and educator, but also to spark meaningful dialogue among nurses at every level. This space allows me to explore issues that matter to the profession and share “News You Can Use” straight from The Nursing Station®.
If you’re here, stay awhile. Have a seat at The Nursing Station®— and lets have a conversation.
